The Goat's Rankings for C, D and E.

C Rankings:

  1. Line Drive/Triple sSs Sportcards: Yeah, I know they didn’t have an impressive weekend. But I am still believe they are the best team in C and the team to beat and just had a down week like some other top teams at their level this past weekend.
  2. TG/TPS/Elite: Great weekend by TG. They showed that they can play at this level and are going to be a contender all year. I would just like to see them do it again before the claim the top spot in my rankings.
  3. P&P 333/Suburban/Larry’s Tire/CMT: They came up just a bit short this weekend. Finishing in 2nd place behind TG. This team is scary good and could be considered the top hitting C team in Michigan.
  4. R&L Concrete: They are another team that finished 2nd in their tournament that they played in. The tournament was just 10 teams, but it was a very deep 10 teams that played in it. Their only losses were to Toledo Borrachos.
  5. Great Lakes Express:  They finished 5th this past weekend losing two probably the best two teams in C in Line Drive and Plumbers. Very good showing for them in their first tournament of the year.

Surprise Team of the Week:

Pure Divine: I was really thinking that this team was going to go 0-2 and lose to a D team in the process. But they found a way to win that game to finish a subpar 1-2.

Flop of the Week:

Mayhem/Wolf-Hurlbert/DC-Realities: Another rough showing for Mayhem losing to two D teams and just sneaking past the other D team they faced. I can definitely see this team back in D before it is all said and done.

D Rankings:

  1. Mush Reloaded/Sinister: The only top team in their class that actually performed to their expectations. Mush Reloaded definitely showed that they are the class of D this past weekend and they gap between them and the next closes is pretty distant.
  2. Detroit Drama: Very good weekend from this team finishing 3-2 and showing that they can hang with some of the big boys in each class.
  3. Apex Softball: Coming off back to back tournament championship they are the 3rd team in my rankings. They only finished 1-2 this weekend. But both their losses were 1 run losses to C teams.
  4. DNation: I don’t know what was more impressive this weekend. The way D-Nation played or their jerseys they were wearing. Either way they looked very good and very legit.
  5. Khaos S&S Apparel: Finding a 5th good team in D right now is pretty hard, I give the slight edge to Khaos here. They lost early to Apex then had a very nice win over Phillies before losing a close one to a C team.
Surprise Team of the Week:

DNATION: I believe these guys surprised everyone this past weekend with their performance. If they hit like they did this past weekend they will be competing in D all year long.

Flop of the Week:

DO/Mushtube.com: This team looked really bad with pitching and defense. They did hit pretty good. But this doesn’t remind me of any DO team I have seen in the past. Definitely subpar DO talent on this team I think they may struggle all year long.

E Rankings:

  1. Trust Sports/Wicked Sports/Mario: I still don’t believe this team is as good as advertised. They had quite a few close games and from what I heard they should have lost a couple of those games over the weekend. But they did get the job done so they sneak into my top spot this week.
  2. Dooley’s/Pole Position/LV: Yeah I know they went 0-2. But I still can’t rank them below this spot. Everyone has an off weekend, this team will be right for their next tournament. Too many veterans on the team to worry about one tournament in April
  3. Repo Monkey: The only reason why they are not in the number 1 spot right now is because they crumbled under pressure in the two games versus Trust Sports/Wicked Sports/Mario this weekend. I heard they had big leads in both but just couldn’t hang on to them when in mattered.
  4. MC Push/Clark Building Co.: Really good tournament for MC Push. They played tough all weekend despite playing teams that most people thought were way better than them. Pitching and Defense kept this team in every game they played in.
  5. Trust Sports Softball: Don’t really think too much of the talent on this team. They have some good players, but Bobby Greene can’t carry them all the time with his pitching. They did do a good job of beating the teams they were suppose to beat.

Surprise Team of the Week:

Motor City Cocks/Biggs Bar: I don’t know where this team came from, there roster isn’t all that impressive and they lost their first game of the day. But fought back and made it all the way to 5th in this tournament.

Flop of the Week:

Detroit Syndicate: How can you go on the Mush Board and talk about how great you are then completely puke on yourself and finish 0-2 in a flat E tournament. I do have to say the comparisons to Trick from last year are unfair. Unfair to Trick that is, Syndicate is an average team at best.
