The Goat's D/E NIT Predictions for 5/7/11

WINNERS BRACKET

1st Round: 

Sand Baggers vs. Specialty Modification: Specialty Modifications just has more talent on their roster than the Sand Baggers have.

Winner: Specialty Modifications

Blazers vs. Perkins: This is a pretty good 1st round game with two scrappy teams that will fight for all 7 innings.

Winner: Perkins

Michigan Misfits vs. SOS Softball: Don't know anything about either of these teams, I see that SOS played last weekend, so that will give them the slight edge in this one.

Winner: SOS Softball

Mushsportz vs. Venom: Many saying this game will be close, but I am saying that I think Mushsportz wins this won rather easily.

Winner: Mushsportz

2nd Round:

DO vs. D-Nation: D-Nation got the best of them last weekend, but I think DO has a big bounce back weekend this week.

Winner: DO

Apex vs. Specialty Mod.: This game will be a lot closer than most think. In fact this is my UPSET SPECIAL OF THE WEEK!! Specialty Mod. sneaks away with a close victory.

Winner: Specialty Modifications

Mush Reloaded vs. Perkins: This tournament is Mush's to lose and if they over look Perkins and the vets they have on their team, they could stumble early in this tournament.

Winner: Mush Reloaded


Drama vs. Khaos: Khaos needs to jump on Drama early in this game if they want to sneak out a win. I just don't know if Khaos has been consistent enough offensively to start off hot with the bats.

Winner: Detroit Drama

Dooley's vs. Kings: I feel bad for the Kings in this game after Dooley's struggled last weekend, they will be looking to make an example out of a few teams this weekend.

Winner: Dooley's

Trust/Wicked vs. SOS Softball: This should be a good BP session for the Trust/Wicked before their showdown with Dooley's.

Winner: Trust/Wicked

Repo vs. Mushsportz: Repo will be emotionally ready to play this weekend and I see them doing very well in this tournament and might even shock a team or two.

Winner: Repo

Bright Horizon vs. Big Gamers: I like what I saw from Bright Horizon last weekend, beating two teams that many had in their top 5, I say their winning ways continue in this game.

Winner: Bright Horizon

3rd Round:

DO vs. Specialty Mod.: DO got a chance to play them last weekend and beat them pretty easily then, I don't see much of a change this weekend.

Winner: DO

Mush Reloaded vs. Drama: These games all year should be classic games to watch and that is mostly because Shuk makes them classics with his antics, but I am not sure if his antics alone will be enough to get them the win in this one.

Winner: Mush Reloaded

Dooley's vs. Trust/Wicked: I do believe the better team will win this game and I think that is Dooley's. They have better pitching and Defense and they won't give the game away like some teams Trust faced last weekend.

Winner: Dooley's

Bright Horizon vs. Repo: This game will be a lot closer than most have projected. Bright Horizon is starting to be known as the Giant Killers and if they knock of Repo in this one this will only grow.

SEMI FINALS:

Mush Reloaded vs. DO: Only time this game was close last weekend was when the back up for Mush was in and that is the only way this game will be close again this weekend.

Winner: Mush Reloaded

Dooley's vs. Repo: If Repo jumps on Dooley's like they did Trust last weekend they will win this game. Dooley's don't have the fire power offensively to come back from that type of deficit. I just don't believe with the pitching and D Dooley's have that Repo will jump on them like that.

FINALS:

Mush Reloaded vs. Dooley's: The top two teams in their class playing each other, it will be interesting to see if their is a big difference between the two. I believe Mush will win in a close one.
