Buddha's Rankings for C, D and E.

C Rankings

1. TG/TPS/Elite - Without a doubt.  The first "big" tournament of the year and they come out and run the table.  If they show up this ready to ball all season long, they're bringing home alot of hardware

2. Plumbers - Making the transition between major associations is tough enough.  Making that switch and beating top ranked teams in the process puts them at #2.  I think they've silenced some of the critics and proved that they belong in any discussion about top teams in C

3. R & L - I have to rank by results and frankly the competition down in Ohio was just as tough as Liberty this weekend.  A 2nd place finish was a great showing and they're off to a start that gives good momentum for the start of the season

4. Linedrive - I have no doubt that they'll win their fair share this season.  I have no doubt that they'll be a top 2 or 3 team at some point in time this year, but watching their last game they just looked gassed and out of synch.  They'll turn it around though so look out all you teams in C

5. Great Lakes - A solid outing and hanging tough in the top 5.  The offense looked good in the games I saw of them, but the defense is gonna have to tighten up to hang in C all year

Surprise of the week - Pure Divine
First games as a team all season long and they hung tough.  After the debacle of an inning they had against Great Lakes, they could have folded up shop and gone 2 and 'que.

Dissapointment of the week - Mayhem
I know they had high expectations for themselves, and others expected them to be better than they showed.  They'll turn it around, and be up there every weekend, but just a little bit of a down weekend this week

D Rankings

1. Mush Reloaded/Sinister - Their 2 losses this weekend came to the 1st and 2nd place teams, who were C teams.  They were firing on all cylinders, their offense looked great and they D'ed up when they had to for the most part.  I believe this is the spot they stay in for the majority of the season

2.  D-Nation and Drama - For right now, flip a coin.  Both of these teams had good weekends and played a tough road.  I believe that Drama will have a slight edge down the road but both of these teams are ready to play on a few Sundays this year

4. Apex - Yep it was a rough go this weekend. But regardless, they still have 2 tourney wins on the year and have proven they are gonna give it their all every weekend

5. DO/Mushtube - This was a bad weekend for them.  They had 2 losses to 2 top D teams, but they did not look like a team ready to win.  They need to start clicking to stay this high up for the rest of the season

Surprise of the week - Drama
They brought back alot of guys from last years Worlds runner up, made a few nice pick ups and went 2-2 against C teams.  If they roll like this all season, they are gonna be a force

Dissapointment of the week- Blue Crush
Yeah they've changed the roster a little and their missing some of their starters from what I heard, but they only scored 5 runs in 2 games.  They have some work to do if they want to stay competitive in D this year

E Rankings

1. Trust/Wicked - Not a whole lot to say about these guys.  Undefeated (although a couple of close calls), beat Repo twice, and lived up to the billing.  Expect to see them on Sunday alot this year

2. Repo Monkey - Playing with what I'm sure were heavy hearts, these guys were the most prolific offense of the weekend.  They looked great and absolutely never quit, even against Trust/Wicked.  They were alot of fun to watch play all weekend

3. MC Push - This team came out this weekend and made most of their games look easy.  Their defense was lock down, they played Trust/Wicked tougher than anyone expected and built alot of steam to make some deep runs.  If they can get their offense going just alittle bit more, they're gonna win a bunch of games

4. Trust Sports - Bobby Greene and the boys came out and played good softball all weekend.  A couple of games they needed stops and got them, and they played as a team all tourney

5.  Dooley's - Yep they are still in my top 5.  They looked bad this weekend.  They won't look that bad all year. There is simply too much talent on this team for them not to get some wins under their belt in the near future

Honorable Mentions/Surprise of the week - Irish Swagger (You guys are a scrappy bunch and I wish you great luck) and the MC Cocks (Tough 1st loss and then battled all the way back for a nice finish)

Dissapointment of the week - Syndicate & Dooleys
Neither team lived up to the hype.  Maybe their heads weren't in it.  Could be they ran into better teams.  Either way this is not how a lot of people saw either of their tourneys going

On a personal note, I had the pleasure of playing ball with Mike Keyes a couple of times.  He was a great guy, funny and superbly talented and a class act. While I wish I would have known you better, I am glad I got to meet you at all.  My prayers and thoughts are with his family.  May God be with you Mike.  You will be missed.
